Uh...We Don't Carry That Here

This past week, I've been offline, and off-life, pretty much, because I've been running the Christmas Workshop at my youngest kid's school. Every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., I've been in the school, first setting up on Monday and Tuesday, then running the shop Wednesday to Friday. Christmas Workshop is an opportunity for the little kids to shop for their families for low-priced gifts (that a team of us moms buy throughout the year) with a little help from us workers. We have all ages of kids shopping--preschool to eighth grade.
Which makes for some pretty interesting conversations, particularly with the littlest kids. They're the hardest to shop with, but also the most fun. They make the whole thing rewarding, even if they ask me things like...
