Holiday Memory Triggers

Do you have a special ornament, that each year when you pull it out you always pause before putting it on the tree and recall it's history. Usually accompanied by ahhs and sentimental smiles? Maybe a holiday recipe you make that was handed down to you through generations that you remember eating as a little kid at Grandma's table? Or a particular decoration like a paper bag Santa whose cotton ball beard is sagging, that always makes you teary when you realize your baby is now in college? (hey... I'm okay with it. Really).

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

Finally.
When my agency asked me to travel to Dallas for the first two weeks of December, I panicked. How was I possibly going to get ready for Christmas if I was in Texas? I mean, those two weeks immediately following Thanksgiving are prime holiday-shopping days. Never mind getting the house ready for family and friends.
