Q&A at eHarlequin: Beta Heroes with Jeannie Watt and Ellen Hartman

Ellen Hartman's picture

Jeannie and I are running a week long discussion of beta heroes at eHarlequin. (Do we have the world's best job, or what?) Stop by any time to ask questions or join the conversation! (The post goes live Monday morning.) Here are the details:

Shopping For The Alpha/Beta Hero with Ellen Hartman & Jeannie Watt

Finding the right hero for your book isn't always the easiest thing to do. And as romance writers, we can often get tied up in the stereotypical hero. But maybe you're looking for a man with some depth. Some variation. Some quality. Maybe you're looking for a hero with a little something more.

This is the Q&A for you!

Join fan-favorite Superromance authors Ellen Hartman and Jeannie Watt all week long as they help us compare the most common hero archetypes and show us there's still more to uncover!

P.S. Dee wrote the intro text. Isn't she nice to us? :-)

woot!

Sounds great, and I'll definitely be over, but for those folks who don't go to eHarl, or don't have accounts there, feel free to chime in here (isn't it nice of me to have you running your workshop in two places, LOL).

And Dee does do great intro text. ;)

Also, that link didn't work for me? I got permissions denied thingie... maybe just me?

Sam

Hmmm

I sent a note to the Deemeister, because I can't get in through the eHarl link either... directly. Went there and got the same "permissions" thing, and I can get everywhere else on the site, so hopefully can come in and comment soon. :)

Sam

Link's not live yet

I don't know why exactly, but the link isn't live yet. I'm expecting it to start working any minute now!

;-)

It is. :)

All set, and have commented. ;)

Sam

No time to shop....

Could I just have mine delivered? One of each, please.

Pardon me

Excuse me, Ms. Holquist, but Jeannie and I are engaging in a serious discussion about important writing issues. None of your risque remarks, please.

Um...

Blue eyes okay?

;-)

LOL Diana... I wanted to

LOL Diana...

I wanted to pop in to make sure people saw Shirley's new blog post right beneath this one... I don't want to short her her time (not that it sounds like she has a lot of time, anyway, LOL), but we wanted to get this up for Ellen and Jeannie, and also want to make sure folks realize Shirley's post is new...

Sam

Interesting discussion

And I like the definition of a Beta. Not as wimpy as I had thought the term implied.

So, if I'm getting it right, I think one of my favourite characters is a beta: Indiana Jones. And Atticus Finch is right up there too.

Wow, lots of good company! ;-)
