Hi, everyone! I'm Karen, and I'm a brand-new Blaze author! I love writing romance, and I especially love writing about characters who aren't afraid to crank up the heat! My Puritan ancestors are probably rolling in their graves.

I live in northeastern Massachusetts, and there's nothing I enjoy more than curling up next to a cozy fireplace to write a sizzling love scene. I'm married to my high-school sweetheart, a (moderately) reformed former bad boy, and we have two daughters in middle school.

When I'm not writing, I'm working full-time for the Department of Defense, supporting various aircraft programs. It's demanding, but rewarding, and I get to meet some really cool military types.

I live in an antique Colonial Cape that sits on the banks of a tidal river. My husband has worked hard to transform our home into a writer's retreat, with lots of windows overlooking the water, and lots of gardens. It's beautiful, and makes me long to be able to stay home full-time. Of course, there are downsides, like when the river flooded its banks last year and we were evacuated from our home! That wasn't much fun. But thankfully, the waters receded without too much damage. Don't be surprised if you see one of my future heroines dealing with a spring flood! I have a whole new respect for the folks in New Orleans.

I love to do crafts; stained-glass, beading, folk-painting...pretty much anything that provides a creative outlet. I try to explain to my husband that cooking and cleaning do NOT fall into this category!

Anyway, I'm so thrilled to be a part of Exploding Cigars, and am really looking forward to getting to know all of you!
